Jessica Walters serves as CannaMD‘s Chief Medical Researcher. Prior to her time at CannaMD, Jessica earned her degree from Harvard where she focused on neuropsychology. Her personal research interests include psychosocial interventions for obesity, depression, and generalized anxiety disorders (summarized in the thesis: Deconstructing the Chemical Imbalance Theory: A Strategic Starting Point for Counter Campaigns). Jessica is the author of Cannabis Clapbacks, a science-based marijuana gift book, and her insight on medical cannabis has been cited by both local and national press. When not working with CannaMD, Jessica consults on neuroscience-based communications projects. Past clients include The Brain Health Initiative (BHI), a joint collaboration between Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, and private organizations looking to “translate” complex research for the general public.
